Department of Chemistry and Medical Biology

The Department of Chemistry and Medical Biology was established by the decision of the Academic Council of the State Technical University of Tajikistan on August 24, 2016 (Protocol No. 01/02). Since its inception, the department has been actively involved in teaching and research across a diverse range of subjects, including:

Achievements & Recognition

  • In 2019, faculty members Ch. Sultonmamadi G. and Saidov S.M. received honorary diplomas from the Rector of the State Technical University of Tajikistan.
  • Sharipov H. was awarded an honorary diploma by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan.
  • In 2020, Sultonmamadi G. was honored with the “Excellence in Education of Tajikistan” medal by the Ministry of Education and Science.

Academic Participation & Research

  • The department actively participated in the Republican Olympiad in 2019 and the Annual Olympiad for the Cup of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan in 2020, earning first-class diplomas in Chemistry.
  • Between 2019 and 2021, the department’s academic staff published over 25 scientific papers in national and international journals.
  • They are also credited with three scientific inventions, including a notable development: “A method for increasing the corrosion resistance of aluminum and magnesium alloys.”

Student Engagement

The department supports two active scientific student clubs:

  • “Biologist”

These clubs engage more than 50 students from the State Technical University of Tajikistan in academic, experimental, and extracurricular scientific activities.
