Department of Hygiene, Epidemiology and Infectious Diseases

The Department of Hygiene, Epidemiology and Infectious Diseases was established by the decision of the Academic Council on August 28, 2019 (Protocol No. 01/04).

Student Achievements

On December 25, 2020, fourth-year student Kalonova Z. earned a Third-Degree Diploma among 170 participants at the International Scientific Olympiad titled “From the Teachings of Abu Ali ibn Sino to the Third Renaissance”in the subject of dermatovenereology. This event was organized by the Bukhara State Institute.

Scientific Contributions

The department has demonstrated active involvement in academic publishing and student collaboration:

  • 1 textbook authored by department staff
  • 8 scientific articles published in the medical journal Simurgh
  • 2 articles in the journal Avji Zuhal
  • 15 student-led papers presented in collaboration with faculty at the Conference of Young Scientists at DDTK

Student Scientific Circles

To encourage extracurricular scientific engagement, the department oversees two active student clubs:

  • “Young Cosmetologists”
  • “Young Ecologists”

Together, these clubs involve more than 50 students, fostering scientific curiosity and practical application of academic knowledge.
