Department of International Relations

General Overview

The Department of International Relations is a key structural division of Khatlon State Medical University. It is responsible for the organizational, methodological, and technical coordination of the university’s international engagements.

The department plays a vital role in expanding the university’s presence in the global academic and scientific community. Its primary goal is to integrate the university into the international educational, scientific, and innovation landscape—elevating its global reputation and establishing KhSMU as a modern, innovative institution that trains highly qualified medical professionals.

Admission Procedure for Foreign Applicants

To apply to Khatlon State Medical University as an international student, applicants must submit the following:

  • Personal application to the Rector indicating the chosen faculty and language of instruction (Tajik, Russian, or English)
  • High school completion certificate with a notarized translation
  • Official medical certificate confirming the absence of HIV/AIDS (original, with health authority seal)
  • Medical certificate confirming the absence of Hepatitis C (original)
  • Ophthalmologist certificate confirming no color blindness (original)
  • Certificate of state accreditation from the previous educational institution (copy and notarized translation)
  • Copy of passport with visa and registration (if already in Tajikistan)
  • Migration card
  • Ten (10) color passport-size photos (3x4 cm)

Visa Extension Requirements

Students must submit visa renewal documents at least 25 days before the visa’s expiration. Required documents include:

  • Copy of passport
  • Two (2) color photos (5x6 cm)
  • Two (2) copies of the registration card
  • HIV/AIDS test certificate
  • Colored copy of student ID
  • Colored copy of academic record (grade book)
  • Copy of the university acceptance letter
  • Copy of enrollment agreement
  • Copy of 1st-year enrollment order
  • Copy of transfer order (for continuing students)
