Department of Social Sciences

The Department of Social Sciences was established on August 24, 2016, by decision No. 01/02 of the Academic Council. The department plays a vital role in the formation of students ethical, cultural, philosophical, legal, and political awareness.

Subjects Offered:

Faculty members deliver a range of foundational and interdisciplinary courses across different academic years, including:

  • First Year: History of the Tajik People, Religious Studies, Cultural Studies, Sociology, Ethics, and Aesthetics
  • Second Year: Law, Philosophy
  • Third Year: Philosophy
  • Fourth Year: Economic Theory, Political Science

Achievements and Activities:

Between 2016 and 2021, department staff published 93 scientific articles, 35 theses, and 2 textbooks.

The department hosts two active student clubs:

  • “World of Thought”
  • “Young Historians”

These clubs collectively engage 60 students in intellectual and cultural activities.
