The Library of Khatlon State Medical University has been operational since August 2016 and serves as a central hub for academic and professional development. It plays a vital role in supporting the educational process by providing students and faculty with access to diverse information resources.

The library features a spacious reading room with 120 seats and a modern electronic library equipped with 64 workstations, offering students convenient access to digital materials. On average, the library receives over 1,000 new resources annually, including textbooks, monographs, scientific journals, newspapers, encyclopedias, and works of fiction.

The electronic library boasts a vast collection of over 1,50,000 digital resources in three languages, supporting multilingual education and research. The total physical collection comprises 29,244 volumes across educational, scientific, and literary disciplines.

Since 2021, the university has provided students and researchers access to Research4Life, a global program coordinated by the World Health Organization (WHO), granting users access to international scientific databases and journals under a contractual agreement.

The library is also a center for intellectual engagement, hosting literary and scientific circles such as “Geniuses of Medicine” and “Remarkable People”, as well as a Book Lovers Society that fosters a reading culture among students.
