Practical Skill Training Center

In line with the Concept of Medical Education and Pharmaceutics, approved by the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the decision of the Academic Council of KhSMU (Protocol No. 01/11, dated August 28, 2019), the Practical Skills Training Center (PSTC) was established at Khatlon State Medical University (KhSMU).

The main objective of the PSTC is to:

  • Provide a safe and structured environment for acquiring practical and professional medical skills
  • Foster the development and continuous improvement of student competencies
  • Integrate simulation technologies into the teaching and learning process of medical education

As part of the Higher Education Development Project (HEDP) funded by the World Bank, and through successful participation in the Competitive Grants Program (CGP), KhSMU received financial support to implement the Simulation Training Center project. This project is aimed at enhancing the quality of education in alignment with modern labor market requirements.

The grant agreement (No. 15/1-2), signed between the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan and KhSMU on October 25, 2019, enabled the procurement of advanced simulation equipment and training resources.

The center’s activities are actively supported by:

  • Assistant – E.O. Omonov
  • Case Manager – A. Gandzhinai
  • Clinical faculty members who lead practical training sessions
